Default Status of Anheuser Busch Flight Ops

I have a couple of acquaintances that were flying for Anheuser Busch Corporate Flight Operations. Haven't spoken to anyone over there since the InBev buyout. Does anyone have any information on the status of the flight department, the current & projected fleet, what is happening to the pilots & maintenance folks, etc.

Thanks!

I know nothing but would think you would be the one with all of the info since you have friends on the inside. How about giving them a call?

Just a suggestion...

I said that these folks were acquaintances, not friends. Haven't spoken to them in years & just wanted to know if anybody knew anything about what was going on with AB. Didn't mean to get your paranoid panties in a wad!

If anyone who has any constructive (non-silly) information on AB, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

They're gone.

I don't know the specifics, but a couple friends that worked line service there have been let go and it's my understanding that they are ceasing ops soon.

Strike yet another dream job off the list...

First, you got me. I did write 'friends' and not 'acquaintances', but there was nothing silly in what I wrote. I was completely serious and would think that any professional member of the AB flight department would be more than happy to field a phone call from another pilot, even at the level of an acquaintance, that might be interested in AB. It's called networking. I, and I'm sure a few others, do it all the time. There are guys that I haven't seen since an initial class six years ago, but I still call or send them an email every couple of years just to touch base with them. Even if it's to make sure their contact info is still good, I keep networking.

I'll make the suggestion again. Call them. If you don't have a good number, send me a PM. I might be able to dig up an office number for you.

Second, who's the one being silly again? And what exactly is the meaning of the above statement?

Finally, I don't know how much more constructive one could be. I told the truth, and I still know nothing about AB.

Edit: Well, there you go. Pilotpip to the rescue. I'll officially retract my suggestion but never stop the networking. Although, I'm saddened to hear of the closing of AB's flight department.

Or you could really venture out....get the NBAA book with their contact number and pick up the phone! "Hi, Im looking for a pilot position, can I send you a resume or talk to your Chief Pilot?" (If the office is still open)

You are 100% wasting your time digging for info on the internet these days, if you do get info, chances are its not very reliable.

Unless you talk to a few people who actually work there you will just be getting half-ass info from a "friend of a friend" passed on from a message board from a guy desperate to appear "in the know"

Check the major boards, they are all inhabitated by the same 75 clowns. If you can get in touch and actually talk (meet in person ideally) who works there, you can then network...other than that...posting random messages is really a waste of time.

I know a few people getting pretty good corporate jobs these days. 5 or 6 in the last month or two on Globals, Falcons, etc...and not one of the jobs came from the internet.

Good Luck.

Well, I agree if you had means of communicating then yeah you should have called them first, they'd probably have more info than anyone else here.. but if you didn't have any way to contact them then there's no problem posting it here..

But there was no reason to snicker back at a suggestion. A simple reply in "I don't have their phone number or email addresses" could have sufficed.

GOOD LORD PEOPLE, don't you think the guy would have called directly if he had a way of calling???? Just give him the juicy if you have it. If not, shut up.

I have also heard that they are shutting down their flight department. I've heard that InBev is destroying that company and shutting down anything that isn't necessary, including the Anheuser Busch farm.
