The series 9 airplanes do fly rather...uh..."heavy" - although "dump truck" could be an appropriate compliment considering the payload carrying ability. The series 10 airplanes handle very nicely - much lighter controls.

Marvelous airplane all around. It's on my Lottery list.

Never flown one but my boss has casually looked at both the TBM and Meridian to eventually replace our Cirrus.
That's an interesting comparison between the TBM and Meridian. I know the TBM's advantages over the Meridian but if say the flights are under 2 hours, the Meridian for a lot less can do the same as the TBM can't it? < that's a question.

Besides, while the TBM and the Mooney and other similar aircraft have amazing range, who's bladder can last that long?!?

I will say this about range and it plays to the advantages of the PC12 and TBM is that (not taking into account weight limits here) but range allows for fuel tankering. When I managed a Legacy the range allowed me to carry a ton of cheap fuel from our own farm and according to the computers we didn't take a big hit in performance doing it. Of course even if it was a big hit we were buying fuel for around $2-$3/gal cheaper and sometimes $4 cheaper with a farm. So if the MLW/MZFW and so forth allow it, it's nice to have lots of range.

I think megamillions was won last night, went from $72M back down to $12M. I'm not sure if you can afford a PC12 on a $12M - taxes, but even if you can, I know my wife would never allow me to blow that % much money on a PC12! Probably not a Meridian either.

Yeah - it would have to be one of the BIG payouts. Now all I've got to do is win. Not very likely since I don't ever play. Maybe I'll just stake a claim as 50% owner of Facebook or something.

I think the PC-12 is cool but a KA 350 is on my mega millions win list.

I'd like the 1900C. Just like the PC12, my big butt can go up a forward airstairs and left into the cockpit and passengers to the right. They'll never feel my hips.

fwiw, I'm the same size as the fellow on the right here, #2, and I mean the same exact height and weight - 6'5" 248 lbs.

My wife thinks it's really funny to compare the two of us as 6'5" 248 lbs in shape, #2, and 6'5" 248 lbs out of shape, me. It's funny the difference a few %s in BMI can make.

Well here's a question. When I flew the C90B I had a really hard time getting my feet on the brakes. The bottom of the instrument panel blocked my shins. I hate to say it, I couldn't rest my foot on the floor with my feet on the pedals so that if I had to do a RTO it would take me a second or more to be in position. Does that make sense? It was either steer or brake, but not both.

Is that true on all King Air's? I flew a little in a 200 and it seemed roomier.

I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs and I sit with the seat all the way back and the rudder peddles all the way forward in a -300. It is the roomiest cockpit that I have ever been in, but that isn't saying much with my background!

have about 1k hours in the PC12. I thought it was a great airplane. 7 guys with bags out of a three thousand foot grass strip and go a thousand miles. Pretty unique airplane. it sure would have been nice however to have another burner out there!
