The rumor I heard was that the president rode in a Gulfstream and didn't like it (how is that possible lol?!) and so they have 2 global expresses on order. When I was doing a lot of flying out of PIA last summer they had a Global going into their ramp a couple times a week that was supposedly being leased or rented from the company while they were awaiting their jets on order.

Disclaimer: I didn't hear any of this from an official source, just the rumor going around while spending too many hours sitting around the FBO there.

I could be wrong on the type...I thought I had heard Gulfstream somewhere but there's definitely at least one ULR plane coming.

Because they are like a tube...and are far too noisy inside (inflight and even more so with the APU running on the ground)

At least that is what the last two new aircraft purchases I was involved with said (Global and Falcon)

Whatever, they all pay about the same.

Correct. All numbered for Cat's biggest machines. 385 is largest excavator, 657 is largest scraper, and 793 (until recently) the largest haul truck. CT obv CAT Tractor.

Not from Peoria, but grew up about an hour from there.

Very sure it's a Global they have on order but haven't heard of any changes to the Challenger fleet.
