That’s exactly what the guys at Mountain Capital told me.

Curious what the overall vibe was that you were getting from them? They have their finger on the F9 pulse more than anybody that doesn’t normally work on the 5th floor of the Emerald Palace.

Its not panic if its the obvious result. Im at 50% so I may or may not get furloughed. Thanks for responding. Anything else?

Well, hopefully you aren’t one of the typical pilots that can’t live off of min guarantee, or on FO pay when you are right seat again or get by for a few months or a year without that job. Many that are “50%” seem to have this bravado that they are untouchable. We are in no man’s land as far as the industry is concerned and when NY is your main bread and butter, B6 is definitely in as much pain as the rest. Hopefully you were smart and have multiple income streams or have been an above average saver to have a year of emergency cash.

I don’t get this false choice either. It’s like the world must be one way or the other. This is an absolute false choice and we should call BS on those asserting it as an option.

Passenger counts dropped off, the NBA closed, casinos closed, all happened BEFORE any politician acted.

If even those private actors hadn’t acted, as soon as people started dropping in larger numbers, or getting turned away at hospitals, and when more cities looked like Italy or NY, there is no way John Q Public was going to “keep on keeping on”. And who knows how long THAT recovery would take?

We elected and empowered leaders for a reason. Many people didn’t want to enter WWII, either, and were inconvenienced by their businesses being taken over by the government or the war ending the lives of them or loved ones. The remedy is to vote in other people who will manage the crisis better, not convince ourselves we are smarter than experts empowered in the system under which we agreed to be governed.

This is like whining about the rules in the Super Bowl. Petition the commissioner, appeal, or cry to the media, but do it AFTER THE GAME.

Suck it up, we are all in it together and we will all get through it together.

Oh wow. Another ignorant indoctrinated millennial polluting this forum.
Defending a person's unalienable rights is not false machismo.
Quarantine is when you restrict the movement of sick people.
Tyranny is when you restrict the movement of healthy people. Thats what you are supporting.

Are you working at the present time? Spelling error aside, it is a true statement. We can either stay home or get out and get the economy going again. I am sorry that 2016 ruined your life but it greatly improved mine.

1. It's inalienable.
2. Your inalienable rights end the moment you infringe on others' rights to safety. Driving drunk is illegal because it infringes upon others. So is being a dumbass in a pandemic.

I would be all for your rights to expose yourself to COVID, if you weren't a contagion threat to others. Your coworkers. The liquor store clerk where you go to buy your handles of Wild Turkey. The nurse who will try to save your foolish ass when you inevitably come crawling to the hospital. If you could guarantee that you wouldn't expose anyone else, then you have my blessing to go remove yourself from the gene pool in the name of capitalism.

3. I am a little shocked that so many pilots are so foolishly brazen during this crisis. One of the key responsibilities of our jobs is THREAT MANAGEMENT. And ya'll are turning off the radar as you approach a line of thunderstorms.
