So I imagine we’ll limp through June with steady and incremental increases, then see how July goes.
I feel a lot of people are over estimating the impact of Disney World on air travel.

2019 total pax in all US airports = 1,053,000,000
2019 total pax at MCO = 50,000,000

Its just 4%. And not all 50,000,000 went to Disney when you take out locals and conventions. Let’s say those flying into other FL airports add a bit back, it’s still less then 4% total US travelers by air that are going to Disney.

It’s a piece. An important one no doubt, but it has a ceiling on how much of the 2.5 million a day it will get us back. About 140,000 per day to be exact.

Hoping it starts a positive domino effect with other parks/businesses and then the social media posts give hope to the most cowardly Karens.

I think it's more about perception than it is raw numbers, in my opinion. When the public sees Disney willing to reopen, it will hopefully alleviate a substantial portion of the generalized fear many Americans have been walking around with for no good reason. When that happens, people will see a green flag to travel wherever they want. "If Disney is open, it must be safe."

Yes. Pathetic as it is, the House of the Mouse has more credibility with the public than any of our politicians from EITHER party. Worse yet, it’s entirely appropriate.

I'd rather be governed by the mouse or the first 2000 numbers in the Boston phone book.

Well, maybe not the Boston phonebook, but I got that you remember WFB’s idea.

I grew up on the South Shore.

I'd rather be governed by 2000 Californians selected at random than 2000 randos from inside the 128 loop.

DOD travel ban is more or less lifted as of yesterday. There’s a great deal of passengers that can travel. Most are not scared to do so.
