I edited this because I get the point of the post now. I honestly think this was an incredible coincidence that they held this meeting in October to simulate a response to a pandemic. I don’t fall into conspiracy theories so that’s just me. I don’t think Bill Gates started a pandemic for fun or personal gain. He’s already Bill Gates.

I just can’t wrap my head around how almost five months of unregulated spread only led to 160,000 cases up until mid-March. We’ve known about it for a while now, and it’s been spreading unregulated for months before lockdown. It makes me wonder what the actual count of cases is right now worldwide. I’d say hundreds of millions.

The military constantly exercises and wargames a vast variety of contingencies. Other federal (and state and local) agencies do the same, within their stovepipes. This is routine. NGO's do the same.

Doesn't necessary mean they did a realistic or robust wargame. More often the wargame has to assume resource availability and the cooperation of senior leadership, and the assumptions frequently don't pan out in reality.

This scenario is nothing new (SARS), and various people have been sounding the alarm for years.
