Unusually high rate of acute inflammatory heart condition observed in young men following mRNA vaccination. Israel observed this, and the US VAERS appears to confirm. Occurs shortly after vaccination, most recovered fully.
At first glance, appears to fall within the tolerable range of adverse vaccine reactions, ie not likely a certification problem. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/cdc...19-2021-06-10/ |

It's the spike protein doing that, same as with Covid, and not related to the vaccine tech. The spike protein is what is dangerous about the virus, it causes dis-regulation of the immune system, resulting in cellular damage. The vaccine is the same as getting a minor case of Covid.
People who have had Covid should probably not be taking the vaccine. https://www.salk.edu/news-release/th...le-in-illness/ But the vaccines utilize a different protein that mimics part of the spike, without actually being the spike. There was never any assumption that the spike was harmless... because it can break and enter into your cells! Adverse reactions are more likely caused by an auto-immune response... that's why they're so rare that it took months to even notice the data signal in the background noise. The story even made the weekly "Fake News" list... https://apnews.com/article/joe-biden...1087ba0b1071b1 |
Why would the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 be any more problematic than the spike protein of the four human coronaviruses that cause the common cold?

There's indication that the virus spike protein itself may cause some of the bad effects associated with getting covid.

There were four ModRNA vaccine variants, the one that uses parts of the RBD was NOT selected. Only the NovaVax doesn't use the full spike protein. |
Highly technical, but there are some interesting elements that most readers will be able to pull out. Could be of use to those on the fence about getting the vaccine.

The authors are a computer scientist and a naturopathic oncologist. Not exactly the first people I'd turn to for an analysis of complex biochemistry.

Another potential option for those concerned about leading edge technology: Novavax, which uses well established recombinant protein technology: US trials 90% effective in the US against currently prevalent variants, 100% effective against severe covid. Also easy logistics at Fridge temps.
