I'm surprised this thread is still active.

After all ...

Its a hoax.

It will be over by April.

Everything back to normal by Easter.

Just saying.

Wutface,

Ok, what do you propose to solve the problem—repopulate the US with 330 million drones that behave as one?

I think we're already at least halfway there on both sides of the great divide. It's getting pretty hard to find people with a well reasoned, nuanced position on any issue.

Here's a good list that just came out.

Oh wait, it's from 1918. Looks like we haven't learned sh*t in 100 years.

So, you really expected the human race to fundamentally change in only 100 years?

More the fool you, then.

You're right. You'd think with all this technology we could advance beyond what we were over 100 years ago.

But we're the still the same stubborn, hairy monkeys we've always been.

For the first time in history we're living through a pandemic while global airlines exist. The consequences won't be known since we have no comparison.

It's a shame for our careers that our sensibilities didn't keep pace with our technological achievements.

and yet those sensibilities, honed over many millennia, let us get here, 7 billion strong. We must be doing something right...
