Well, finding a way to get every qualified voter access to the polls is a start. I disagree on the purported purpose of many of these bills.

I’m curious how mail-in voting was always okay for State Department and Military but wrong for others. I registered once and was sent a ballot every year. I didn’t have to go back and re-register every year. I also didn’t have to re-register for selective service every year. At a minimum, paying your taxes every year or renewing your drivers license should register you to vote and you should be able to request a mail-in ballot. A lot of employees, including airline pilots need mail-in ballots. So do elderly and disabled folks. As for ID requirements, we’d also have to address the thousands of people that grew up in the foster system and have a hard time getting historical documents.

Actually it does exactly the opposite of that. It allows about 6 cities to elect a national president in opposition to what is popular “across the country”

These United States are what's known as a "Representative Republic." The Fathers were presented with the difficult decision of being a single united collection of states or a bunch of small countries similar to Europe. They wisely chose to become the United States with each State electing representatives to the Federal Government. They also chose wisely to actually give a representative vote, for the President of this Republic, to each State!

When, and it will most likely happen, the election becomes purely a popular vote the Democracy is truly ended and a very small area of the USA will elect their representative and leave out most of the USA. The states with small populations will essentially have ZERO representation for their vote!

Your RACIST statement about white verse others is pure BS and reveals a hatred in you for what is good and true. You should fully be ashamed.

Legitimate new guy. Long time/first time sort of thing. But so many people have asked that at this point I’m not sure if it is paranoia or projection.

Nope, not paranoia or projection. This is a place where we can be semi anonymous and some posters, for fun maybe, rebrand to take another tack or start another fire.

It really doesn’t matter. For that matter everything written here will not change a thing, especially the direction the USA is headed.

What may happen is it causes each of us to actually investigate a bit more on the hot subjects to see if our opinions really have foundations greater than watching CNN, or reading the NY Times…

Maybe we will become more thoughtful people? Maybe not.
