To preserve N95s for health care workers? 99.9% of everyone is wearing cloth masks to comply with the mandates. Couldn’t Fauci have told us to wear cloth masks when this whole thing started?

He said it not on efficacy but to stop a possible panic buy and shortage of masks for healthcare workers. As soon as it was recognized as a real event, CDC implemented mask mandates.
You know how many masks I’ve purchased? Zero. All have been homemade or given to me at Costco.
I don’t care what he said. What was heard by 330M Americans, including the POTUS was, “You don’t need to wear masks.”
Geeze. And this guy was put in charge of stuff.
