I don’t know about you all but “impending doom” is something I would reserve for the apocalypse. While I am a believer in mask wearing, and doing our best to slow the spread, this is an over the top statement.

Just shut up and do what they tell us. They're trying to save us from ourselves. How dare you question the motives of the people who decided they're arbitrarily in charge of us with constantly changing rules and goalposts?

Speaking of doom, this guy (Dr. Michael Osterholm), I assume, is insane:
https://thehill.com/changing-america...-virus-monster
Specifically, from October:
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/09/healt...day/index.html
https://www.healthline.com/health-ne...ain-in-florida
It never happened. Not only did it not happen, but California, the state with the most restrictions was the place with the uncontrollable surge.
Osterholm is considered an "expert", just like Fauci. It is shocking the media let's these inaccurate bureaucrats get away with this stuff. It shocks me how badly emotion and political agenda is disguised as science. The sheep don't even understand what science is, and the more political someone is the less it seems they can identity what legitimate science looks like.
Fauci is no different. From his early February prediction, Texas and Florida were supposed to be in a "Spring Break surge" right now. It hasn't happened. The surge is once again occurring in states that have been the most restrictive, far away from the pleasantness, happiness and openness of Spring Break.

Fauci is more or less the announcer at the ballgame. He tells you when the virus is in the lead. He tells you when the vaccine is making a comeback.
If you're going to complain that he's not calling the game the same way in the 7th inning as he was the 2nd, then your comprehension of the passage of time is questionable.
