You are good at redirecting. Antipeter posted something about how wrong Fauci was with his prediction, which a person in possession of all their faculties might conclude makes his future predictions less credible.
You smugly post a link to another article with a similar theme but toned down and now four months later, and ignoring his earlier doomsday predictions, and act like that somehow proves your point - again, with smug. You get called on that (I guess? Still don’t get your point) and your response is to say “well these predictions are hard.” Yet you act like his subsequent predictions are valid and worthy of our unconditional obedience despite all this. Man you want to be right so bad I really believe you will argue anything at this point, no matter how ridiculous. You obviously lost the argument because you didn't dare touch my point about how warnings affect outcomes. Your expectations are so unreasonable that it's clear your objective is to discredit the CDC. Any cautionary announcement is an affront to you. And you'll be ready with the pitchforks if it strays in the slightest. |
What was said in February was true at the moment it was said. [/QUOTE]
This thinking guarantees you a future in government or in sales, especially sales in Latin countries. BS artists love that explanation, “I didn’t lie, it was true when I said it, now, not so much.”. |

I can see it now.. You're calling your local station on the regular. Full of p*ss and vinegar about your spoiled fishing plans. Get a grip, Colonel. |
Here I thought my trolling was over the top but the defending Fauci schtick takes the cake. I am bested.

Everyone wants it to be clear cut. We are at risk of a 4th wave. That risk is now diminishing due to better than expected vaccine delivery.
What was said in February was true at the moment it was said. 4th wave was likely due to relaxing behavior. It is still probable, just not as severe. These are not complicated concepts to follow. But people are foaming at the the mouth because the predictions don't pan out exactly as they should. Another thing to consider.. The mitigation after a warning changes the trajectory. And that really sets the knuckledraggers off. |

Aren't you the one always boasting about a 29 year career in government?
A bit hypocritical doncha think? Uniformed side, very different but you wouldn’t know it. |

I'm not sure how the continued survival of others makes the deaths of loved ones less tragic.
If some of you tried the sh*t you say on APC at a funeral, you'd be thrown out. "I'm sorry for your loss. But cheer up. 7 billion people survived today." |
