We are basically .....kind of sort of....
Federal Contractors. Thus fall under Federal control? Huh? How much of our "business" falls under this?

Enough to not pay you industry standard to get vaccinated.
Use your sick time, no support you’re on your own. The answer to everything is: cost Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Somehow even being the bottom barrel line holder in March (and now back on reserve), I was able to use two stretches of 3-days off to get the shot on day 1, and chill out for day 2 and 3. No sick time had to be used. Anyway, vaccine mandates are coming at all major and regional airlines here. It was only a matter of time.

That’s cool. Gold star for you! Sadly that’s all you’ll get. It’s sadly, a lot different than you’re peers at real majors. Pro tip: you might want to pay attention to what United or SWA did to support their pilots in getting the vaccination. The information is available in great detail and (gasp) it doesn’t involve living in Gig Harbor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Delta was either 5:15 (ADG) for each shot if on day off, or drop trip due to touching shot three day footprint. If you gave 96hrs notice, not even counted as sick leave, just free "shot pay". Less than 96hrs, company used your sick leave to cover. For moi, 2shots = 55hrs pay (and opened the schedule up to pick up additional GS flying as long as it didn't conflict with the three day shot waiting period to fly) which there was a lot of as others were dropping trips to get the stick. IMO, this is the kind of info ALPA should be disseminating so that when one group gets/negotiates a good deal, the rest could ride along piggyback. That's one of the points of a union after all. |

Is Alaska not offering any incentive for pilots to get vaccinated? No LOA or anything that covers this?
Apparently there was a chance to win prizes including Kraken tickets that pilots likely wouldn’t get time off for… Maybe they’d let you sell the tickets on Craigslist? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
