Since those vacancies were unbid by current pilots they will now be given to new hires. Each new hire class will still be a mix of different aircraft in order to keep an efficient training churn across all the fleets.

maybe the undesirable angle is flying with the erA's and not so much the er B job itself???

I want the 7ERB but I also want some scheduling control that I currently enjoy as a M88B. Apparently my qualifier wasn't met to make the jump. I'm sure the same can be said for others that are now looking at the numbers.

So since they posted 130 ATLM88B spots and had a net loss of 9 are we looking at the same situation as the 7ER or did they pad the 88 numbers more?

I know some people bid who 7ERB and were not awarded. Seems odd

I wonder if they decided not to fill the slots in order to reduce the amount of training required on this AE? I have a hard time believing no one had a bid in for any of the MSP7ER slots and yet not a single slot was awarded. They also didn't backfill on several other MSP positions. Sure seems like they did a lot of tweaking of which positions they filled in order to get the result they wanted this time.

I got my qualifier for the ER which is surprising as I'm looking at it the category has a net loss of positions?! What criteria does the company look at when awarding % AE's? Is it assuming so many new hires are going to it etc? Either way pumped to be headed to the ER. GS's are always a good thing.

which is great, because in theory my relative seniority will shoot up with them filled by new hires

Still trying to figure out why NO MSP7ERBs...Find it hard to believe no one bid it...Coming back from a deployment in a couple months, hoping to hold it with 115xx type seniority. What am I missing?

Numbers behind you don't matter. Numbers in front of you do. Unless your in a growing category you need people to leave in front of you. And they didn't. I think nobody wants to be a M88A. I sure don't.

Our AE's are more like guidelines. Company obviously decided to not offer any MSP ER positions.
