idk about a perp. but its certainly reasonable to see the training bypass tool being employed to mitigate the training churn.

Seat locks won't solve staff, training or productivity issues.

I think productivity is going to be a casualty of what is happening. although keep in mind pilots not churning through training are likely on the line producing RPM's.

in the puzzle palace the rule of thumb was every move at the top....created up to 7 moves down the list. job security for instructors.

JB may end up with a limited form of longevity pay as a result of attempts to manage and match training to capacity.

Buy a Powerball ticket. Better chances than getting 3 mil. from the company.🤑

Retirements will drive training for the foreseeable future. That just compounds the moves, like you said. Unless the retirement age is raised (and that's just kicking the can) the churn will require shorter stays in any given seat during ones career.

ummmm, no. Back when you hung up your spurs yes, but 2nd year pilots can make over $200 hour now. And it's only gonna get better. 2nd year FOs will make more than I made in my first captain gig. (Granted it was DEX, but still...)

I don't GAS if the retirement age is changed, I won't be staying past 65.....get me some retirement medical before that and I might not stay that long...

I've heard that before. Can I get that in writing and signed with some sort of monetary penalty?

JK, stay as long as you like my goal is to go at 57.

Goals need to be set high to encourage action. We'll see when I get there? Min schedule and max drops might work out OK after that too!

Yes you can! I will guarantee that I will not stay more than the end of the year after I turn 65 (end of Oct 2023).

With as much as I'm flying now.................I'm semi retired anyway.......
