7ER LOE Scenarioes
Coming up on CQ in the next few months. I don't recall the typical LOE scenarios from training and can't find them in the DIG. I'm told they recycle the same 6, wondering if theres a list of them that I can look over the QRH for/mentally prepare myself.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I went earlier this year. As I recall the biggie was departure from GRU, smoke in the cabin with a divert over high terrain/using terrain boxes.

There are 3 this cycle:
1. IP takes you and other pilot down to an MD-88 sim, and the two of you spend 2-hours on hold with Crew Tracking trying to figure out what the heck happened.
2. During cockpit preflight, Dispatch sends ACARS that flight is cancelled and you have to sleep in crew lounge.
3. "A" period: First half is normal flight from JFK-BOS with 5 MELs. During the break you get re-routed to DTW, but not until the "D" period.

I don't know that this is the place to discuss the specifics of all of this.
The Student DIG will give you the basics, as well as everything you need to study for day 1. For the LOE, I'd focus on the major aircraft systems and assume one of them is going to fail, in some capacity. Do what you'd do on a normal line flight and you'll be fine.

Rgen trip on pushback, do a continue in service, right AC bus failure. If you're in an A period make sure you do a fine toothcomb of all the switches. Sim maintenance had it and the instructor even missed about 4-5.

I told the crew on my non-rev trip today about LOE starting in "A" period and a reroute to "D" period. They were laughing so hard they almost blew push-back. That may become a classic.
