I have better seniority on the 73 at 20 years than on the 777. Most of the guys I talk to are not going to leave voluntarily. More $$$ less days. I love the 777. IMO, it is the the queen of the fleet. Bummed I'm leaving but it's time. Even though I'll be working more days, the 7+ day trips are getting old. I guess we will see on Tuesday where I land!
Great airplane but not until after December.

What's the cheat on icrew to see if you were awarded something in the ae?

It only works like 30 min before ae is officially out. But first part of ae preferences shows next category and seat lock expiration

Delta was burned, maybe surprised would be a better word when the A Bid results came out a while back and guys who were awarded A positions did not meet the minimums. From what I heard those guys were pay protected.
So guys without sufficient hours were pay protected as captains while riding the right seat? Is this in the contract?

Wow, Really? See black helicopters much😁😁😁 These are pretty unprecedented times with 5 month guys getting Capt. positions. They're going to honor the PWA, but there might be some unintended consequences that both sides may be able to mitigate.

Wouldn't you think the company knows how many hours (121 or otherwise) one of their employees have? Someone sure knew it when they were hired. I also find it hard to beilieve that if this is an issue, would it not have been highlighted on the bid?

When TWA had guys coming off the engineers seat to DC-9 Capt. 100 hours was the norm.

It amazes me that Delta is surprised by the last few AE's. IF Delta is concerned about the pilots who are being awarded the left seat they only have themselves to blame. Their Optimizer schedule builder has made the NB categories so awful nobody wants to bid them. This push they have for less system credit will cost them money in the end.

Hey Delta make better rotations and you'll get more senior guys bidding the left seat!!!

Who wants to be stuck in a category that only flies long 4-day trips... 4 to 5 legs per day every day...short layovers on a crappy aircraft? No thanks.
