Isn't that what he's getting at?

AMS usually gives you direct to Schipol VOR, then swings you around wide on the downwind and base... energy management is never an issue there dragging along at 4000 feet for miles.

I'm not 100% sure about all this info but I'll try to answer.

The bottom fifth of the ND is now a Vnav display (VD) and shows:

1) current vertical path
2) planned vertical path
3) weather returns as a vertical cut
4) safe altitude info along route and grid Mora.

It doesn't however show terrain as a 3d picture as in the c series.

That sounds like a nice tool. Does it start a VNAV descent by itself? Can you do a vertical direct to? I also hope they fixed the "select hdg/track first", reinsert CI for new TOD, "guard your hdg" goofery.

If the FCRC has its own lav...

I do love the mix of electrical and hydraulics to run the flight controls.

Still the profile vd and map display on the nd coupled by the gpws warnings are pretty impressive. It's not a Google maps but it's the gpws color format we are accustomed too.

Then it's the CDA night transition which is super simple! (and managed des stays hooked up since it's in managed nav)
