that's just an opinion. Nothing about knowing how a drop of fuel gets from the fuel truck to the engine makes you a professional.

How has volume 2 ever helped you in flight? Seriously, QRH and land if necessary is all you need to know. I like knowing systems but with our fleet diversity teaching and memorizing is superfluous. Fly the airplane first. Three guys trying to solve a problem with a light is not a good thing. Land and let the mechanics maintain the airplane. It's really that simple now.

If you are doing anything more, that is highly unprofessional. The QRH is the manual you need to follow. A decision based on safety of flight may be necessary, but one on system knowledge is cowboy at best and willful negligence at worst.

Every time I have looked at the vol 2 for answer on something I closed it with no more knowledge than I had when beginning the search.
