I don't know that number, but I am pretty sure they have all been trained already. There won't be much if any sitting around for successful bidders like there was on the 350. *No TOE requirement*. The only chokepoint I can see is FAA checkouts for new captains. Those planning on getting a couple of months off - imho - will be disappointed. dyodd, ymmv. Bid what you want... want what you bid....

Remember, those CSeries LCAs are project pilots at this point. It will be interesting to see how many of them are able to hold C10A on this AE and thus lose their project pilot status and be "normal" LCAs. To that extent, pretty sure project pilot LCAs are not awarded a schedule via PBS so the LCA bidding strategy is somewhat hampered. It will certainly be a valid strategy once the category matures over the first year.

FWIW the 717 EIS involved taking a air tran painted jet at one point but later our own and doing touch and goes and OE was good and the pilot was qualified.
Although that was 88 guys going to 717.

Admittedly I'm being lazy and could probably look this up in the PWA, but if they do have delivery delays (likely) and they've already got more than enough pilots trained (maybe likely?), would they just give some pilots the month off with pay, or would there just be a ridiculous amout of reserves? How does it work?
