Most of these missed DAL flights are in/out of GRB, and because there are no seats available...not enough capacity.
The DAL people in GRB have told me that they have the highest % of high status frequent flyers of any base in the DAL network, and are constantly asking DAL for more flights and bigger aircraft.
I can tell you that over the course of my career almost every station I flew out of claimed to have the highest yield, percentage of high value frequent fliers ect....

Probably...CR and network people already starting the process of closing LAX717 and moving them all back east. Logic would replace it with another 110 seat airframe...

I would put SEA at the top of that list. LAX will be getting the 320 base soon, and the 319s are already taking over some of the 717 flying. DAL can aggressively go after ALK in SEA with the 220. SEA would be the dimple at that end of the "Southern Smile".
