Still doesn't answer my question. How many were military who went to a regional for a year or so and then were picked up. There were many in my class that came from Southwest, Express Jet, Compass etc, after less than a year. Were they counted as civilian? Does that skew the flight time averages lower than what a pure civilian is actually hired with? I'm sure many are interested in the details as they pursue career advancement.

From what I remember, those were included as "military" pilots, btw.

Oooh! You're so right. They're EVERYWHERE! You non-military types have absolutely NO chance of making it here at Mother Delta. So just quit trying. In fact, the whole flying world is against you and anyone who never wore a uniform to serve their country.

I fly with non-military background types all the time. In fact, it's....like 60% of the time. Strange, but true.

Spinning my words way out from the intention to create your own argument. No one is against anyone. This string of messages is about understanding the process and positioning oneself to best compete. Accurate data would help many. Once again, you've proven, a message forum is an exercise in futility. It reduces to namecalling and disparagement.

You've been provided plenty of data, if the topic interests you so much perhaps you could do some research and quit making demands until you are presented with data that supports your hypothesis.
Perhaps you need to work on your delivery. To me, your posts scream "pure civilians are a victim class and are being treated unfairly". Very millennial of you.

There is statistical data showing pilots from the two different backgrounds are hired with different flight time averages. In reality there are pilots hired from many different background. I'm only asking (not demanding) if anyone has clearer data. You're the one getting emotional.
Wrong assumption on the millennial. Once again proves my point, arguments here reduce to disparagement and name calling.

The only info I've seen has already been posted, and is broken out by mil, civ, or both. If that isnt enough I dont think you will be able to find any more clarity.
As for civ vs mil flight times....there is no easy way to compare. A fighter guy typically flies 150-200 hours a year.

But I believe the break down at the time was of ~1400 hired, ~700 civ, ~500 pure mil, ~200 "civilitary".
As mentioned, that was a while ago. I'm sure it's as you mentioned, more and more rare now than when that was published.
I thought there also one that showed mil + civilitary number accounted for ~60% of that specific year's numbers but can't find it.
