If we lose Amazon, it will be because the people of Georgia, through their representatives, would rather push back, then have their voices muzzled by social media savvy liberals that would rather we remain silent.

Pure politics fellas. The only reason this happened is there is an election for governor in 2018 and Cagle wanted to fire up the the base in a state that is trending blue over time. Nothing to do with gun rights, all about him winning and he was willing to sell out the airline that’s been a key driver of his states success for 77 years just to gain some cheap political points. See it for what it is. Regardless of your stance on guns, don’t vote for this clown in November unless you’re ok with government manipulating company business decisions. If you are, just remember your guys may not always be in charge down the road.

Looks to me like FDX handled this correctly by just staying out of it.
No matter what your political leanings its pretty obvious that DAL screwed this up royally.

Delta can do what they want. Here is a solution that might work.
They wouldn't have to reverse the discount decision.
A statement that acknowledges the timing of their decision was unfortunate and unintentionally offended members of the NRA. Delta does not have a position on gun control. An apology for that offense and a pledge that Delta will try to act politically neutral to ensure respect for everyone of its x amount of millions of passengers.
That might placate people today.
The problem Delta will have going forward is that everything is becoming political. Can't imagine it now, but the day will come when we will be told not to give any special consideration to members of the military, to include the soldiers that ride below.

Excerpts from morning email
"On Saturday, Delta rescinded a one-time group travel discount for the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting, and asked the organization to remove our name and logo from their website. This decision followed the NRA’s controversial statements after the recent school shootings in Florida. Our discounted travel benefit for NRA members could be seen as Delta implicitly endorsing the NRA. That is not the case.
I have heard from many of you over the last few days. Our people and our customers have a wide range of views on how to increase safety in our schools and public places, and we are not taking sides. Our objective in removing any implied affiliation with the NRA was to remove Delta from this debate.
While Delta’s intent was to remain neutral, some elected officials in Georgia tied our decision to a pending jet fuel tax exemption, threatening to eliminate it unless we reversed course. Our decision was not made for economic gain and our values are not for sale. We are in the process of a review to end group discounts for any group of a politically divisive nature."
Not going to calm anyone down, people like being offended. Not wanting to be affiliated with a controversial group seems to have backfired somewhat.
Lt Gov is laying out a bold stance to the business community with the tax move.

I'm asking because I don't know. Does Delta offer any discounts to CNN?

There is always Wichita
Could Wichita land Delta after NRA flap in Georgia? Kansas lawmaker extends invite
We're not in Kansas anymore Eddie... oh wait.
I don't know how the electric blue suits will go over during tornado season though
