Just can't get over how bad(and how much worse this is than the 7 year old desktop version we used. I read how the DTW guys officially raised a lot of complaints at the MEC level and they were basically told to "shut up and color"Really think they need to start over and get something that is not so slow, tedious, and prone to lots of mistakes and frustrations
My major issues are how long it takes to do the same work on desktop. Here are just some of my complaints
-Scrolling sucks. Disapearing scroll bar and up/down arrows. Two finger scrolling on a touchpad is infuriating and often results in errors.
-Application times you out after 10 minutes or so. You can lose a lot of work if you're interrupted and you didn't save or submit your bid
-Can't have a pairings or bid screen up and have a popup box with trips displayed to easily review, then bid each trip.
-Each "award trip" selection makes you "okay" the trip you just selected.
-You must check, then uncheck EVERY trip you "award" for your bid!
-the dropdown menu on the right for pairing selection(and other things) isn't intuitive as to where to check, make selections, deselect etc. And its so close to the edge of the screen that any off center click or scroll opens up a windows menu!!!
And yes, I sent an email to the PBS committee detailing these complaints and he only really addressed a few of them. I also called 2 different "leaders" of the committee and they never called back.
I'm sure this ship has sailed, just thought I'd vent after again getting frustrated with last night's bid work.
Thoughts???

I still use Easy Bid and find it superior to both. It is worth the small monthly fee not to use NavBlue. I'm sure when I upgrade to Capt, I will no longer find the small fee reasonable and begin using the free bidding software.

Considering their "big improvement" was having it scroll twice as many rotations as before, I'd say the guys in charge of this are absolutely clueless as to what makes a good, usable interface. They obviously don't use it themselves.

But you will also become lazy with the awarding of that 4th stripe and thus faced with the age-old Captain's dilemma...go with "free" or go with "easy." 😁

I'm not sure what the consternation is all about. I use this ...

It looks just like the interface we used up until a year ago when we had to use some other interface. But no we can use this again.
Now it doesn't ask me to sync everytime I log on. As a matter of fact it keeps me logged on. This is the desktop version, correct?

Contrary to the other opinions on this thread, I was not a fan of the desktop app. I felt there were serious limitations. Obviously others disagree.
I do think that the web app has improved a lot, but needs further improvement.
