I chose a delivery of 5/1, then got a notification on the door today that I wasn't here for delivery. So it came a day early, but never got any email notification in any inbox of any email account. I was in the back yard. Go figure...

I'm using it to search porn already. Been doing that really since I got it. It's all about what would I do if I won the lottery, well, this!!!! Because I could. Nobody would ever let me do it unless I was rich.
And part my wife wouldn't stop me. Why? Because money.

Connected mine to the WiFi at home and then found that the cellular network had activated for a bunch of personal apps. Did I miss something about the “WiFi Assist” function? Is it legit for us to turn this off to force it onto the WiFi? I don’t remember anything about that from the training.
I already went in and disabled cellular data for everything but the necessities.

Power down as soon as your trip is finished.

No, I just mean from a setting management standpoint, while working. I was just surprised it used cellular data to download personal apps even though it had a very solid wifi signal. Though I'm sincerely not worried about them tracking its whereabouts or activities on my bedside table, I just want to make sure I'm not screwing up a setting I should be leaving alone from an operational standpoint.

WiFi assist in IPad/GPS terms is the ability for the IPad to feed its approx location to the GPS to facilitate quick GPS lockup’s from boot up. It bases that approx position on known WiFi sites. If the GPS knows where to look it can lock on much faster.
There is a second function also called WiFi assist where the IPad will use a combination of WiFi and cellular if the WiFi connection is poor.
Wi-Fi Assist enables the device to automatically switch to cellular data when Wi-Fi coverage is poor and switch back to Wi-Fi when the Wi-Fi signal improves. Wi-Fi Assist is compatible with any iOS device on iOS 9 or later, except for these models: iPad 2 Wi-Fi+Cellular, iPad (3rd generation) Wi-Fi+Cellular, and iPad mini ...
I see no reason you can’t turn it off.
