Thanks it’s been nice but a bunch of dudes are getting displaced junior to me and I’ll probably get displaced soon. The lazy train won’t last forever.

Hush! We can't let others get word of this.

For a while I had MD88a as my displacement preference on this last AE, word is already out! That said, I'd likely be displaced off the 'dog fairly soon as well. Decided I didn't want a bonus month in training + OE in exchange for a very limited number of months on easy street.

I'm sure as guys head to training off of this AE, reserve QOL will take a nosedive.

I'm trying to enjoy it while it lasts! Certainly my best summer at Delta. A close 2nd would be the summer I had 10 weeks off between the sim and OE (7ER).

I know I know this but I deviated to drive home all night so I’m drawing a blank. You get paid old category until sim complete or OE complete?

I believe conversion, which might not be linked to either one. Not 100%.

It's spelled out in the contract. It's not a fiction of either, but more about the day of the month you complete.

You get your new pay on your conversion date. You can find this info in the PWA under 22.E.6.

In a nutshell if you finish your sim check ride on/before the 16th you are converted on the 1st of that month. If you complete on the 17th you convert on the 1st of the following month.

Awesome, thanks. Appreciate the reference. When I wrestle these kids into bed I’ll take a gander.

Sort of.....

You have the correct PWA reference but, within that section there is wording that says “no later than” which means you could, in effect, finish sims on the 19th of, say, September and CR could still convert you effective August 31st. Great if you are moving up the pay chart, bad if you are moving down in pay.
