Our load factors used to be around 70% too. That had a large hand in the immense value of the pass privileges back in the day.

In the eighties we ran about 54%. Break even was 50%. A big chunk of those open seats were on a small number of flights since they ran the same schedule 7 days a week. With day of the week scheduling now used those empty flights no longer operate. Saturday’s were a non revs dream.

Laminated tags are the problem. They can't scan them all the time because of the lamination (or so I've been told from the dudes down below). So, they check them so the load can be correct if you aren't around. Still no excuse but this is why I grab about a dozen yellow tags at a time from the CP's office. YMMV but I've had good success.
