DH Policy
At Endeavor and I believe all other DC carriers we received a memo today stating that while deadheading we can no longer sit in Comfort+ or First Class or even request the upgrade. We are told this has been against Delta policy as you can't be in a premium seat in full uniform. Was curious if you all got the same memo or email as we were told this also effects all mainline employees. Thanks guys!

Mainline guy here. If I'm DHing and there is a seat available in FC when they get to me.....I better get it or there will be some problems.....
Contractually we are guaranteed a seat in business class when there is an ocean crossing.

"Deadheading crew members and mechanics may wear their uniforms, including uniform shorts for mechanics, and may travel in any cabin."
To find this go in Deltanet under HR>Policies>Pass Travel>Company Business Travel via Delta and it is under the "Conduct" section.
So I urge any other DC carrier seeing this to go show your management this is exactly what Delta Policy is.
Thanks for the replies everyone and hopefully this was just bad information put out there.

Except that didn’t happen here. The memo is about a Delta IT glitch that allowed DCI crew members to book directly into any premium cabin or allowed them to standby for them.
“We fixed the glitch.”
