It appears Delta is going to try the cheapest route both in quality and quantity before they understand you can't afford to buy cheap and finally get some B787s.

So in your humble opinion the 350/330 NEOs are a POS?

Why is everybody so fired up about the 787 anyway? It is funny that so many people trash DAL for the small fleets we have, yet many are clamoring for another one. I'd rather we buy more 350s, but sans that, let's buy the bigger 330s with a long range capability. Screw 787s.

Not everyone. I completely agree. I'll take a small amount of airframe mismatch to avoid adding another whole type to our fleet in small numbers.

Not only that, given the capability of the 330NEO, adding another type to our menagerie that pays the same to us while carrying less sounds rather short sighted.

We are getting new deicing trucks. Rumors on the street are 20 with options for 20 more. I hope we are looking at Wausau Everest and not that Yundy Tongfar or Shenyang Deheng crap.

SDTS will make those rampers easy to manipulate.

Knowledge of de-ice trucks is a lost art.

I tell you what, the 330 is an nice airplane. I DH'd to AMS in late October on a 777 and hands down the the BC seats are way more comfortable on the 330.

Last time I was in HND there were at least 5 ANA 787's parked with no engines attached to them. That's a ton of money just sitting there... The 330 is a known quantity. I think the 330neo has great potential.

80kts,

Do you know the range of the 330neo, 350 and 787? I'd be curious to know.

330Neo 800 is 8150nm, 900 is 7200nm
350 is 8100nm
787 is 7600nm

You can't get sub prime type loan guarantees on Airbii, like you can the 787 through the ExIm. For many countries, you buy the 787, or other Boeing jets, or you don't get any airplanes at all.

It’s a shame DL blew so much on stock buybacks. Could’ve gone a long way towards a fleet renewal, whether it was Boeing or Airbus.
