Speculating here, but I’d venture to say the 330 holds more gas, so it’d probably have to burn it all to get the max range. Does the 330 hold more cargo/pax than the 787?

I have no idea, but just curious if you had the numbers, it’d help figure out what works best for Delta.
The 787 has better numbers than the A330neo. However, it's probably cheaper to operate for Delta vs adding a new fleet type. Aircraft are best utilized to their max range, so that is also a consideration.

When the seats (and/or IFE and/or lavs) work, they are pretty nice. DL clearly took the cheap route (as is usually the case) on the A350 interior. Looks nice in photo ops but lives up to the "disposable plane" tagline in practice.

I guess so. They work most of the time afaik. My point was that the 777 that sailing to has the same interior as all the 350s.

But is the prevailing wisdom that "there ain't no party like a slightly lower CapEx party" really the end all dominant consideration? We need the planes we need for how and where we fly them. A cheaper note is a very minor consideration over a quarter century unless everything else about it is identical or superior.

I was at In Command last week. I can tell you network is VERY excited about the A220 and the A300-900ER.

That's good news. Delta pilots ranks and PS have expanded significantly due to management's ability to acquire efficient aircraft at rock bottom prices.

come on that's clearly plausible. Just imagine the 350 interior in a 300! they wont know the difference.
