You have to actually read the updates and stay educated to be aware of that fact. A thing many pilots here fail or refuse to do. If you want to play the game, you gotta know the rules. Burying your head in the sand and then screaming from the rooftops “foul” when the company does exactly what it said it would do is very ignorant and slightly elitist.

You might be underestimating the sense of entitlement some of those guys have, they're whale captains after all. You know-gods gift to aviation. And to be "forced" to fly a 'bus'...

Flew with a guy that, up until a few years ago, spent his entire Delta career on the 747. Hired onto the panel of the classic, then went right seat to left seat of the whale. He mentioned he had to fight hard to not be forced into an upgrade to the NB some years ago, but he had not intention of flying domestic. He didn't have the attitude you speak of, but he did say AQP training on the 330 was a shock to the system.

Dude....all electric APU, starting engines with electrics and no bleed air for pressurization. The 787 has a lot more innovation than the 350. 350 still uses bleed air for pressurization and air conditioning.

When you said Delta, I was cofuzzeled, as we only had them in the early '70's. The reason they sold them was it took too long to beat them into 1011's.

What do you mean by 'initial cadre'? Are you referring to students? Instructors? LCPs?
