Pay/credit recovery from vacation bank?
How does one do this for a reserve day dropped via an APD?
PWA 23.I.18. "A pilot may, at his request, recover pay and credit for rotations and reserve on-call days dropped pursuant to a PD, QPD, IVD, or APD, by utilizing:
a. vacation bank time, as follows:
2) A reserve or unassigned pilot will receive pay and credit for a reserve pro rata share for each reserve on-call day dropped."

So instead of using an IVD for a reserve day and only getting 3:30 of pay, I can use an APD and get full reserve pay guarantee for that day (and my vacation is reduced by the same amount of hours)?

That's correct. Keep in mind that the HOURS are deducted from your vacation bank, but not the number of days. PBS only knows the vacation days when bidding opens, and assumes that your vacation bank hours match the number of days... even if they don't.
