Just be sure to say thank you then for the profit sharing that we paid for.
Does that help? Do you get the same from shareholders and management for the buybacks? |

Get over yourself. I'm as much a part of our union as you are. You guys seem to think us junior guys owe you something. We don't owe you anything. We're all in this together and all our votes count the same.

Denny,
Thanks for the civil discussion as always. Glad your Christmas off plan appeared to work. This whole issue is far more complicated than both sides make it out to be and I can see good points on both sides. I have heard guys call it a “money grap” because the very Pilot who now are demanding we address pensions, voted not to contest the pension termination 14 years ago and now as they see retirement looming they want a pension. I just dont see it happening. What about all the guys that have already retired? If they are not included it will be .000000001 seconds until the first class action lawsuit is filed. As far as guys making scrafices at the regional - sorry that does not count at Delta. Just like sacrifices made in the military don’t count, just as sacrifices for a personal business don’t count. The older Pilots at Delta made sacrifices at Delta that directly resulted in PS that all current Delta Pilots enjoy. Sacrfices qmade at a regional, in the military etc may build character but they do not translate directly into gains for the current Pilot group. So the moral of this story is both sides have valid concerns that should be respected by the other side. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays all. Scoop Denny |

You guys sold that money for the bankruptcy note. It's gone and not coming back.
That Note didn't even come close. Oh, by the way, we also plussed up all the junior guys so they'd get more. Yeah, we're a bunch of greedy old bastids. Denny |
All the older guys have plenty to be bitter about, one of my co-pilots (corporate) was the first guy to "retire" from UAL without a pension. For 34 years part of his pay went into a fund they would keep safe until he was old enough to spend it. When he left, he got a few hundred bucks a month, as opposed to the $3M he worked for. Luckily he saved and only worked to pay for his daughters med-school, but still, they stole millions from him directly, after he was to old to walk away. I do feel it is a bit different for those 20 year regional guys. They weren't promised a DB plan, or flow, but decided they loved flying and stayed (i am a solid member of this group, before you start name calling), and got hosed by the economy and age 65. Still, they could have left...

How would you like to be retired a bunch of years and then get the "Dear John,"
