Delta-Aero Mexico JV lost hours
 

An email sent out about a loss of 300 hrs for Delta pilots in Jan with the Aero-Mex JV. How does that happen? And why can’t it be caught before bid packs are out?

I did, and doesn't DAL own 49% of AeroMexico? Why wouldn't AM reduce their flying by the same % and for the very same reasons as us? Always some great reason why we got shorted, yet it keeps on happening.

I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt and I doubt know your background, but on the other hand I'd like to ask you, what part of the word contract don't you understand?

Pretty good reasons, sure. And I appreciate the sentiment in the email. But rules need to be followed and there needs to be consequences when they are broken. Because why follow the rules if there are no consequences?

This is why you never allow ANY outsourcing of flying. But that camel stuck its nose in there and you missed your shot to smash it with Comair 20 years ago. :( Imagine how many more Delta(s) pilots there would be had you brought Comair and ASA in house and truly lock down scope when you had the chance.

You do understand that DALPA had no mechanism to make that happen. Merging airlines is under management control.

It’s best to ignore him. He won’t be happy until he’s flying his mystical avro out of cvg again.

This was my favorite part:

What I'm hearing is that this Fortune 500 company has finally acknowledged their obligation to pay us properly in accordance with the PWA. No longer must we pay our own union to correct the millions of dollars of payroll errors (theft) that we detect on our own! Rejoice!
