Keeps the swamp butt in check on Transcons when I'm wearing sweaty wool pants.

With all the smart fabrics out there, I want pants that aren't scratchy, can be washed at home, and most importantly, don't make me look like a dropped a bag of sugar in my lap if I use gold bond.
I recommend you check out Haggar cool 18 pants.

Back in Biblical times, purple was the color of kings...always was my theory why we started the purple trend...

Spot on. Several van drivers have said "I carry alot of airline folks and yall have the sharpest uniforms in the game". I get compliments from random pax on the uniform nearly every trip during jacket season. The Delta uniform is iconic and must not be altered... Ever... IMO.

I do think we the company should design and distribute official company overcoats that are sleek and modern. I'm thinking high quality wool with removable epaulets and removable Delta logo so you can wear it during layover.

Speaking of sleek stuff the Flight Ops Vests are so nice I'm buying a personal one.

I'm not sure why there is such angst over the double breasted jacket. I find it rather comfortable and think it looks better than any of the jackets I had at my previous two airlines. I never received a single compliment on my uniform at any of my other airline gigs, but have had numerous positive comments (even from the younger generation) when wearing my Delta jacket. Lets just hope they never make us wear those "skinny jean" style pants that seem to be popular amongst my generation. Can't get behind a pair of pants that come up to the middle of your calf when you sit down.

Epaulets on an overcoat are horrendous. Never, ever do that! Please!

The problem with any trench coat is that people wear it indoors.

Also no epaulets on a trench coat. Awful.
