FWIW,

They never froze hiring. It did however slow down significantly. I know people that were interviewed and hired during “the freeze”. They are at the end of a big pool of people waiting to start indoc.

One thing they plan or claim they plan to do is not release hiring totals for the year just a monthly plan. Get away from: “they only hired 600 this year when they claimed 800, what’s wrong at Delta?” Now just 90 starting in June, 50 in December, etc.

Most recent CR newsletter said 600-750 for the year, and that they expected to have Indoc classes every month of the year, so no break. That jives with what an Asst. Chief Pilot told me the other day as well.
