Here's 2 links that ought to have you rethink your stance on this. One is even from the uber liberal CNN.

Pilots might be in the top 1% of wage earners, but we definitely aren't in the top 1% wealthwise.

That's a personal issue, but given enough time you can get close. When you are my age you will more than likely be closer to it unless you spend your money on hookers and blow and then waste the rest.

I hope so! I'll try to take it easy on the hookers and blow

I encourage you not to expand your bubble too far. If you think CNN is Uber liberal, there's plenty of stuff out there that would blow your mind.

Trickle down economics don't work.

The tax cut was aimed at business and the wealthy.

The tax cut added to the national deficit.

Wait...I thought we were a representative republic.
Until the 17th Amendment, 23rd Amendment, 24th Amendment, and 26th Amendment.

The tax cut helped me out immensely. I must be business or wealthy.
The national deficit is primarily added to by...wait for it...SPENDING!
Check my math if you think I'm wrong.

I'd say if your extra income went to investments or toys, you're probably wealthy. Not a bad thing to be wealthy, but it is a bad thing to make you more wealthy at the expense of middle and low income earners and our children.

That's not how math works. Income minus spending.

Must have missed it but what math am I checking?

If you are making $100k a year and lose your job, your debt problems aren't that you are spending too much. It's that you no longer have a job.

You can't give massive tax cuts and then blame the deficit on too much spending. The growing deficit is because they enacted tax cuts without regard to budget demands.

That being said, no one on the right complained about military spending when we went it alone in Iraq.
