Default Buddy pass switching flight times.

Got a friend who is traveling on a buddy pass. He is at the destination city and wants to leave a day later to go home.

If he just shows up a day late for the return flight can he get help at the ticket counter the confirmation number to get home or does he need to be resisted? Dont see the option in travel net to switch buddy pass times. For personal travel I usually just cancel and relist but would rather not burn another one of my passes

You should be able to add a new segment and then cancel the old one on the same reservation. Do it in that order.

Yes. Do it yourself on Travelnet. Do not just allow them to No-Show! That will not turn out well.

Oftentimes, however you will get a red “Error” followed by some gobbledygook codes. Then you’ll have to talk to a human, unfortunately.

Exactly correct - there won't be a charge for changing it in TravelNet (assuming same airports). If TravelNet barfs and gives an error code (sometimes it happens) call Delta reservations and tell them TravelNet didn't work - that way they won't charge a fee to make the change (I think it was $25)

Its not a buddy pass... it’s a friend and enemy pass

Also watch out if you are trying to change the buddy pass airports...IE if they can’t get on and need to go through another city, it can be very messy and you might spend some long time on hold to get it resolved...apparently that function internationally at least is not automated and they will need to compute the fare changes by hand...very messy. The phone rep did say to me....when is the last time travel net was updated...good point I said...She said fill out that employee survey !
