As 30-year longevity pilots fall off the top, and sub five-year longevity pilots fill in and expand the bottom, there would seem to be a massive productivity gain. I would love to see Alpa quantify how much sick leave and vacation time the company sheds over the next two contract cycles. My hunch is the mean longevity year is also dropping on our pay scales, at least for narrow-body fos.

Yeah it will. It’ll be fun watching a bunch of American workers getting laid off...

I'm delighted you love the histrionics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
CAN it be done in two months? Yes
Do I think it will be all signed/sealed/delivered by then? No
My study of contracts has shown me that while sometimes contracts are agreed upon early (DAL CK12) other times they are after the amendable date (NW 1996-1998, DAL 2000-2001).
While I agree it's not all going to be wrapped up by end of this year, I just don't see it going into 2021/2022 like some others.

I suppose the only reason Delta may want to get one done is, they prefer the Tier 1 candidates. So I guess I dont really know??

So on time is 6 months early? While I agree that happend a few times (DAL C2K12) it also didn't...
- NWA back in late 90's had an amendable date in Oct 96....they got new contract in Sept 98
- DAL early 2000's: amendable date May 2000, new contract Jun 2001
- I think we all know how the TA1/TA2 worked out.

Think we have to be careful who's opinion we consider to be "management." Flight Operations management prefers "Tier 1" or whatever the flavor of the day is, but I doubt network management cares. Think there are different perspectives. Fortunately, for the most part Delta's Flight Ops management is in tune with the pilot group.
