It’s as if they forgot that greenslips are optional.
Many, if not every, day is black on the grid. Impossible to drop, and almost impossible to swap etc. Couple that with absolutely trashed pairings. Early AM report, late PM release, high segment per day ratios, constant spastic plane changes, lol full kitting yeah ok that'll probably be a 10% reduction at best, maybe, etc. Commuters with 3 days off get one day at home. Even "locals" are constantly driving and unpacking just to repack and drive waking up at 3-4AM, with no time to decompress between trips. RR's and expectations for extentions become much more common, etc. Running an "optimized" operation is extremely tiring on the group as a whole, regardless if a few hustlers are making bank at all costs or not. So even if someone never does a GS or is forced into a JA (very rare...for now), the crisis staffing levels can still effect them significantly. |

I don't think that's really even the point. When there are so many GS that ops relies on them nearly every day, the downline effects hammer nearly everyone to some extent and to many to a great extent.

Denny “Retirement denied due to insufficient reserve coverage.” But while I have you on the line, you’ve been awarded a 9 day rotation, an IA reporting in two hours first leg to ICN. Have a nice day. |

Not far off. They recently re-routed a guy to fly another leg after his retirement flight.

Is there a reasonably priced pocket sized "sailingfun translator" available?
