Correct and thank you for reading. Supposedly there are talks of tossing aside the first two quarters and using the profitable ones. Just passing along what I’m hearing from those in the know. The company can do whatever they want with the numbers to suit their goals and needs. Hopefully more clarity in the coming weeks. Delta will be the only major to post a profit for q3. Even WN will be posting a loss.

Maybe we can flip the script and lose our collective minds over something the non-cons got and they'll have to give it to us...right? I mean that's what is said every time we talk about getting something but it would have to be given to the non-cons.

He said potentially in the form of a bonus, not necessarily via the traditional formula. Q3 is allegedly still a (small) profit. They repeated that on Monday and it should be virtually set in stone at this point. Q4 is still up in the air. Likely depends on how deep the pre holiday lull is and how strong the holiday travel turns out to be. Definitely won't be showing a profit for the full year, especially with all the write-downs we've been taking.

Excellent.
Even more reason to push very, very hard for a better contract and demonstrate the value of collective bargaining to the rest of the employee group.
Inflation is definitely here; the value of our current contract is eroding every single day. Modest gains were possibly acceptable before Covid and inflation; no longer.
Let the rest of the employee group ask nicely. We'll see if the union way is the better way.
