May as well call it the (partial) 2022 Inflation Offset payment.
At 7% inflation for the last year, it completely "makes whole" everyone who earned a pretax salary of $17,800 last year. A total bonus for anyone making less.
Better than a kick in the giblets, I guess.

Oh and you'll owe taxes on that small "offset" too because it's a "gain".

Their (non-con's) pay recovered more quickly than ours post bankruptcy. This was to achieve parity or better than the industry and prevent a union. The threat of organizing has served them well. They also recovered "our" profit sharing after receiving large raises to compensate for its removal. They also received 4% raises after our amendable date and before Covid. We are still behind their level of compensation on a percentage return from the bottom of the cuts. Their work rules are undefined but less onerous. They are not subject to 14 hour days regularly.
I just flew a 3-day BOG. I got 15:45 and the FA’s got 12:13. We get 5:15 a day, they don’t.
We get 16% DC into our retirement, they get 9% (6% matching plus 3%).
We have a legally binding contract, they have nothing with rules changed on a whim. I’d say undefined and whimsical based on whatever management happens to want.
You want the deal they have with no union?

What do you think they do with us on illegal reroutes, improper trip coverages, and the MANY other things that happen in scheduling that violate our contract?
