Exactly, and what's to stop a terrorist from wearing passport plumb anyway? Kinda like how I wear a red polo to target and pretend that I work there.

Actually since the lack of uniform, the fact that they take off the outer layer and choose not to wear wings, ID or any other identifying device, has caused passenger confrontations on two of my international flights in the last month which resulted in paperwork makes it my problem.

“Illegal lanyards” aren’t a safety issue and don’t lead to confrontations with passengers — as long as a valid ID is attached.
