The problem with those 6 day trips (that flight ops "leadership" refuses to learn) is that two six day trips are all that can be awarded to a line holder to meet the construction window, after that, they can't be added via WS, and any WB B halfway aware knows not to have 6 days of LC available with six day trips in open time. These were the primo trips to roll thunder this last summer, especially because many were broken into two 4 day trips and handed out as GS. Fourth floor spreadsheet ninjas know what's best though.

Any new updates on if/when BOS will be announced with what equipment will be first there?

Therefore it won't be the A320, and instead, at the last possible minute, it'll be whatever soon to go away fleet that's getting new interiors (764, 717, ER?) only to be closed a year or two later to generate the MD's necessary for another beloved 365 to provide the flexibility to power out of the very manning crisis that opening then closing a base caused in the first place. So when is that AUS CP opening happening.

You might want to ask that on the AA forum.

Right? DL definitely got caught on the back foot for that one.
AA is now up to almost 50 non-stop destinations from AUS. But hey, we really flexed our strength there by adding a couple of A220 flights to SEA and BOS. |
At the NYC Flt Ops Town hall this week, BS said to expect BOS on the AE after summer of 23.

shiny base syndrome How many years have we been hearing about a return of the BOS base? 10 at least. Most of the previous BOS folks are retired now. |

If/when JB decides that operating international from BOS and JFK won't work, then a BOS base will go back on a back burner faster than last weeks dinner. A plethora of events could happen between now and the end of next summer (many of which haven't even been thought of yet) that could/would change this declaration. |
