Reports from the Front Lines

Ya fooled me once Ed! Twice now, you've turned billions of buybacks into smoke, and now you want me to hand over more money, after you and guys like you took my pension, cut my pay twice, and stiff armed raises in good times. Your middle men are doing nothing for my safety on the line, and we are being asked to do more with far less. My 401k is in the tank, profit sharing will be zero, and there will probably be furloughs. Go ask your beloved shareholders for some of that green. I'm tapped out.

Furloughs have nothing to do with the next 90 days. If anyone wants to go unpaid for the next 90 days only to be furloughed anyway, good luck with that. Nothing anyone on the list does either paid or unpaid will move the furlough line one iota. Furloughs will be driven by fleet composition and utilization rates which is driven by demand. Anything we give away now will not be coming back soon, if ever.
This^^^^^
Please memorize folks. It is written in history. And History was just repeated with the Sils.
As if $15+ billion wasted in stock buybacks wasn't enough incentive to say no.

LATAM is Ed's Comair moment! Paid 1.2 billion for 20% and now the whole damn airline is worth 700 million....so our value is 140 million. Always saying how JV's would save us in a downturn....Bull****.
Add that to his fuel hedge losses, stock buybacks, MIP's, etc....you can see who is ultimately responsible.
NO CONCESSIONS!

NYC320 trip. Originally scheduled to fly JFK-MIA layover then MIA-LGA. Before I leave, changed to DH on original JFK-MIA. While on the layover, MIA-LGA cancels. Now scheduled to DH JFK-LGA.
In short it’s deadhead to layover then deadhead back.
So my car is at JFK where I started. So I call scheduling to see if they would deadhead me to JFK instead of LGA. Would be quicker for me and save money on the limo from LGA to JFK. (Thought I read something about reducing costs?) Of course the scheduler refused to assist. Said only option is to deviate deadhead which places the cost of hotel to MIA transportation on me. No thanks.
So, I guess I’ll go on as they planned and let them throw good money after bad. Clearly cost containment isn’t a priority.
