I see why you’re in this situation, weakness. Asking the internet for a back bone; you must have slipped by the interview process as a triple minority such as myself.

I've got a friend in the exact situation. He's debating a leave but either doesn't qualify or not sure if the financial implications make sense. The plan is to keep working. Explain to the wife and kids that the situation sucks, but the numbers look like this:
70% chance that he'll get it. 80% chance it won't be a big deal if he does. 15% chance it will be serious and require hospitalization. 5% chance he will die, again, if he gets it. He's got a room in the house with a bathroom and will quarantine after and between trips for basically weeks until they get more info. She's got to bring him food and beers. If the wife and kids get it, the idea is that most people are probably going to get it and the numbers are the same for them. Rather not go to work for a lot of reasons, but authorities seem to think it's important, and it's what he does (profession). This is a difficult circumstance and I'm glad you took the time to post. Everybody's situation is different. Good Luck. |

I'm not sure that you can count being a social retard as a minority, can you?

Look at it this way. Last week I counted 38 PAX in the entire LAS airport from shuttle drop off to and including the A gates circle. Right now going flying is better social distancing than going to the grocery store!

Man. I get it. But, there are several mechanisms in place (PLOA, KLOA, etc) for you to maintain marital harmony. Nowhere is it assumed nor implied that your marital situation to be Delta's financial obligation. So, calling out sick is disingenuous at best and actually, probably fraud.

Oh come on guys, Bruhpilots post was funny and he even poked fun at himself in the process...have a sense of humor. Jaww had the right response. I would follow up the post by Jaww with the comment that he should just tell the wife she is being unreasonable...then she'll realize that is being unreasonable and calm right down. :D
