There have been a number of pilots that have posted on here stating their claims have been denied even with Dr notes. FAs have now been given the opportunity to self identify has high risk and take paid leave.

Look guys I admit to being a little confused. I thought the mantra was "eff everybody else, WE don't care. They can give us the stink eye, I don't care. Get a union if you don't like your predicament". So what's it gonna be. Penis envy or what. Let's get on the same page for our UNITY campaign. Hundreds of posts about unheralded unity.

Please someone nail it down for me......specifically....please finish this sentence..."We the pilots, are unified about/around/for....???". I truly want to be a team player but I'm trying to figure out the game.

My finish would be......."unified for full pay to the last day". I'm close to retirement and that would be most beneficial for me....it is all about the Benjamins , right? I would have a diff finish if I had 15 years or 30 years to go. Anyone bold enough to chime in with their UNITY cry?

Does an occasional celebratory cigar count?

Company now offering 6, 9, 12 month VLOA’s to all US based ground personnel, and merit employees currently on active status or scheduled to return to active status no later than May 1st.

There is some truth to the "coiled spring"/"don't bet against the USA" viewpoints, but the timing of both is off by quite a bit IMO. A massive WWII effort that will require a huge mindset of economic nationalism and "America First" will help in the long run but even that kind of mentality revival is far from likely. And if we go full on open borders socialist/"sieze the means of production for the people's worker's party" etc because of this, all bets are off anyway.

But every model (original and adjusted) that I've seen shows this re-peaking this fall. And that's best case. If we've gotten so soft and protected that we view a complete global economic collapse is worth "if it just saves one life" then we're going to have to stay locked down quite a while longer, maybe begin to reopen with Great(er) Depression levels of GDP shrinkage and unemployment, and then re-shut down again. There is no path to do that economically that doesn't result in a gobal collapse.

We will have to get back to business or there won't be a business to get back to for a very long time.

Good times make a soft society and we've had it ridiculously good for a very long time. To the point where we can't even process the downside of what our actions are leading to as we strive for maximum safety, which even if we kind of achieve now, will be reduced even further later anyway.
very well said

He’s referring to LOA20-01 which most equate to SILS and 23.K. Paragraph one talks about COVID-19 to take a leave if they have Covid-19, or a family member has it, or they are at high risk etc. In some situations your Dr would have to provide a note supporting it

Thanks, I'll look at that again. Must have missed it the first time.

You know better than this but I’ll play along.

Keep your deals, that’s all I’m asking.
