The management team has a brilliant messaging group - it's what made us the most profitable. They are turning that team on us now. Question is will we crumble? IDK. SILs are just common sense. Their reaction to them is telling in many ways. We'll see how this sorts out.

I would support permanent leaves of absence for senior pilots (and the number guarantees to be offered AND awarded if bid to determined by how many are required for $X amount of savings) as a prerequisite to DISCUSSING SILs or other cost saving measures. Make the company buy some goodwill with a legitimate act of long-term savings.

why in the world would ALVs be that high??!

Probably to comply with the TLV requirements if I were guessing.

There are NO 4 or 5 day trips for the 88. So much for those being more efficient/cost effective for the company.

No extra x day for ATL 717A. I guess that’s where the flying is going.

‘Because they have been really low thru winter. I’m guessing it needs to be higher to get in the TLV for the year. I’m sure they planned this months ago and now it’s biting them in the ***...

Notice as well what the RLL number is for May versus a normal month. NYC73N it’s usually 140+, this month it’s 51 for CA and 42 for FO.

how do RLL bids affect ALV and TLV? Seems they should be offering more not less, but guess that depends on the answer to my question.

And when I add up the total number of man days for NYC73, it adds up to 349, which is 25 and a half pilots flying 5:15/day until they hit 72:00. SILs make absolutely no sense because you’d only be able to award 100-140+ for each seat and still have reserves stacked like cordwood, and would have saved 24% of payroll on this with SILs (probably more as it goes senior and the lower seniority/longevity pilots end up with lines). Wow. That is a bid packet for a much, MUCH smaller airline.

Speaking for SLC, with that level of service, it doesn't even make sense to have a base here.

Wonder if this place makes it through June? I know CARES says Oct 1 before furlough and BK ain't "allowed", but if the money is gone, it's gone.

Fun times.

some perspective is in order here, though... May is projected to be the lowest point in the dip before coming back up.
