I’ve been bring food on trips for awhile, not because of Covid (saves money). No need to cook with an iron, nearly every hotel has a microwave for use by guests. Ask at the front desk, they’re usually located near the sundries.

Going out on a limb here but it might have something to do with cutting the flying dramatically and the cost of paying for long trips when they cancel.

Please don’t use the irons. That’s what some international flight attendants use to heat the meals they take off the aircraft. Inevitably something gets on the iron and ends up wrecking a shirt or pants for the next person in the room.

Ok back on May bids topic. A lot of people are going to be on reserve. I've asked the union about the no SC in NYC continuing into May and they say the verdict is out because of how it is worded 'until further notice" so it could change overnight. I have not been able to find something in writing from the company about a reserve pilot being able to decline a flight to a CDC level 3 country. I know I saw it some place I just can't find it anyone have a direction I can look?

So much info has been coming at us it's hard to keep up with everything.
Did the company and the union agree to no short calls in NYC? "Adjustments are being made in NYC to limit crew exposure, including reducing overall number of flights to the area, implementing a trial to eliminate short calls and decreasing early morning departures to reduce layovers and originations. Starting April 2, in order to keep people safe, there will be no short calls in NY until further notice" |

Yeah, but it’s a flight ops communication on April Fool’s Day.
During leap year. |
