I would think the Company has to have some discretion. If the Company were to target/make eligible let's say 7,000 pilots in order to get an adequate "take rate," I would think the Company has to have some discretion in order to prevent wiping out a category of Captains (i.e., 80% of ATL350As elect to take the EO). Wasn't a fan of the PRP program during the last mass exodus and I suspect the Company has reserved/will reserve some discretion to prevent the same if this EO program actually proves to be enticing.

Just checked deltanet. The latest Conversion List was posted 2 June. Where is this new list?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. If furloughs happen in inverse seniority order, regardless of aircraft assignment, what's the play here?

Savings. Savings from pilots being off payroll, and they either upgauge 220 routes to larger NBs or go max contractual limits with all of the RJs that currently aren’t flying. Ether way, over two thousand pilots off payroll until the union successfully litigates recalls over company objections.

The company is now staring down a training bill that is expensive in time and resources, and INCREDIBLY complex when it comes to maintaining operational integrity. Making the downward waterfall work without potentially crippling some BES combos so that you can furlough pilots from the bottom quickly enough to get short and medium term savings is much harder than I think they anticipated it would be. Then there is the specter of 14,xxx pilots being upset over (pick your favorite gripe regarding the MOAD). Etc. Etc. Etc. In summary, forward strategic thinking about manning and deadlines hasn’t been a demonstrated forte of the company of late.

You would think that if you had to eat an elephant by yourself before it begins to spoil that you’d start chewing right away, but that doesn’t seem to be happening. I did bounces to reestablish currency today, and they haven’t recalled the SLIs that were previously sent to the line, nor have they recalled the DGS (or whatever this week’s company is called) instructors either. As I mentioned elsewhere, it’s tiny snapshot on my fleet (737), but it doesn’t appear that the gears are even close to being in motion to support the MOAD.
I dont think they have 'the' plan yet. But im pretty sure they do have several 'plans'.

This EO is gona drop.it will likely have nearterm deadline to allow at least sept training to schedule. Oct at the latest.

The logic for these dates has been chewed on here already. The EO will drop in days. Likely furlough notices will go out iow pwa.

The EO closes by 7/31 and with new #s in hand phase II and furlough mitigation agreement will be arrived at.

In this job the only certainty is uncertainty. Change to the status quo is a given.

On another forum a Rep says its with the Company now. The MEC doesn’t have anything formal to vote on yet. MEC is expecting it this week but need the formal language and when they get that is up to the Company.
